19-years experience treating patients and the author of Wise Mind Living: Master Your Emotions, Transform Your Life. In addition, she has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical Psychology at the Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, since July 2004.

From July 2004 to July 2008, Erin was Director of the Columbia Integrative Medicine Program, which she headed in collaboration with Dr. Oz. She also contributed to Dr. Oz’s best-selling book series You: The Owners Manual.

Dr. Olivo currently maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Manhattan where she works with adults and teenagers who are experiencing difficulties dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, unhealthy relationships, chronic illness or problems such as self-destructive behavior, addictions, and over-eating.

Her treatment approach is solution focused and integrates cognitive behavior therapy and DBT therapy with mind-body strategies such as mindfulness meditation. She teaches her patients how to regulate their emotions, tolerate and manage stress, and achieve a more balanced approach to life that she calls Wise Mind Living.
